Islamophobia and the Workplace

A joint project by BMHC, Manchester Metropolitan University and Liverpool Hope University. Please participate and share with your networks.

The purpose of this survey ‘Muslims and Islamophobia in the Workplace’ is to understand if and how you as a Muslim experience Islamophobia in Greater Manchester’s workplaces. For the purposes of the survey we are adopting the same definition of islamophobia as the Greater Manchester Combined Authority: “Islamophobia is rooted in racism, and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness”.

This research is being undertaken by the researchers for the British Muslim Heritage Centre (Manchester). The findings will be published and will contribute to the evidence on the experiences of Muslims in Manchester and Greater Manchester workplaces.

We would really appreciate it if you could find the time to complete the survey. Your views and experiences are crucial to gain insights into Mancunian Muslims’ workplace experiences. You do not have to have experienced islamophobia to participate, as we are interested in the extent to which Islamophobia is an issue for Mancunians.
