Scouting offers fun, challenge and everyday adventure to over 450,000 young people in the UK alone while giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential. The principles of Scouting encourage young people to develop inner discipline, be involved in group activities with others, understand the world around them and help create a more tolerant and caring society.

Young people take part in a wide range of activities that are aimed at challenging them and equipping them with a variety of skills. By doing these activities, they work towards the many awards and badges achievable in Scouting, which include adventure, outdoors, teamwork, team leader, artist, faith, community impact, fire safety, global issues, astronomer, craft, fundraising, water activities and many more.
