The British Muslim Heritage Centre (BMHC) is seeking a motivated, creative, and dynamic Heritage Radio Station Manager to join our Senior Management Team.
This is a key role responsible for the management, growth, and financial sustainability of our Heritage Radio Station (HRS). A core objective of this role is to increase brand awareness, expand audience reach, and strengthen the station’s presence within the community and beyond.
You will also contribute to the development of BMHC’s wider media and marketing communications strategy, helping to shape a compelling and consistent narrative aligned with our vision.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day runningof Heritage Radio Station

Ensure compliance with all OFCOM licence regulations

Manage and support staff, volunteers, and presenters

Monitor and maintain the quality and compliance of broadcast content

Lead on recruitment, training, and developmentof presenters and volunteers

Drive brand awareness and audience engagementacross platforms

Build relationships with businesses, organisations, and partners

Support advertising, sponsorship, and promotional activity

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Creative and innovative, with the ability to generate fresh ideas
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- An excellent communicator (written and verbal)
- Confident in building relationships and engaging stakeholders
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused
- Passionate about media, community engagement, and storytelling
Essential / Desirable Experience
- Experience in radio, media, or content production
- Understanding of radio operations or broadcasting standards
- Experience in growing audiences or brand awareness
- Experience in fundraising or generating income streams(desirable)
- Familiarity with radio software (e.g. Myriad, Adobe Audition)(desirable)
- Experience working with volunteers and community groups
