Heritage Academy is BMHC’s dedicated Islamic education programme for children and young people, designed to nurture strong faith, positive character, and a confident Muslim identity.

Heritage Academy provides Islamic Studies, Qa’idah, and Qur’an Recitation classes for boys and girls aged 6–12 years old. Our classes aim to nurture a strong Islamic foundation, helping children develop confidence in reading the Qur’an, learn essential Islamic knowledge, and grow in their understanding of faith and good character in a positive and engaging environment.

Fees

  • £40 one-off registration fee, non-refundable.
  • £60 per month throughout the year.
  • Payable as a one-off annual fee of £720

What We Teach

Learning Qur’an recitation with correct tajweed, alongside memorisation of selected surahs.

Core topics including aqeedah, fiqh, manners (akhlaq), and basic Islamic beliefs.

Lessons from the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and key moments from Islamic history to inspire character and confidence.

Sessions also reinforce essential Islamic etiquette, character, and love for the Qur’an, helping students grow spiritually as well as academically.

Teachers provide individual attention, ensuring learners feel comfortable asking questions and practising regularly.

Heritage Academy  Classes For 6-12 year olds:

Heritage Academy offers Islamic Studies learning and Qur’an recitation practice for boys and girls aged 6 to 12 years. Our classes aim to help students build a basic understanding of Islam and improve their Qur’an recitation in a supportive and caring environment. Classes for students above 12 years of age will be starting soon, in shā’ Allāh.

Heritage Qur'anic Blossoms Programme:

Heritage Qur’anic Blossoms Programme offers Tajweed classes focused on correcting and improving Qur’an recitation for ladies aged 16 and above. These classes are designed to support sisters at different stages of their learning journey in a comfortable and encouraging environment. An optional Saturday morning memorisation class for students who wish to strengthen their hifdh alongside tajweed. Our aim is to help students improve their recitation with confidence, consistency, and care.
We currently offer:
  • Beginners Level 1 & Level 2 Tajweed – Tuesdays, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Beginners Level 2 Tajweed – Tuesdays, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
  • Saturday Memorisation Class – 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
